Hello, my name is Eden Asgedom Mengistu. As someone who immigrated at a young age, my lived experience of navigating a new environment helps me deeply connect with clients who are searching for their own path.

I’m currently in the final year of my Master of Social Work internship, but I bring over twenty years of experience in the field, having worked in both mental health and medical hospital settings. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals from all walks of life.

Outside of work, I cherish spending time with my children and family-cooking, going for a walk, watching movies, and playing games.

My name is Irina González, and I use she/her/ella pronouns. I’m a Cuban/Russian child immigrant, sober queer Latina mom, and cis married woman with ADHD living in a mixed-neurotype family. As a journalist-turned-therapist-in-training currently pursuing my Master’s of Social Work at the University of Denver, my work exists where mental health and social justice meet.

Outside of work, you’ll find me relaxing with a spicy romance audiobook while coloring, having fun by playing modern board games with good friends, or getting creative through my writing. In the evenings, I am often either snuggling with my two cats and dog or teaming up with my husband to chase my rambunctious kiddo all over the house.

“I’ll just figure it out on my own, it’s okay.” Have you had this thought? Me too, and it can be incredibly exhausting to always be the one having to figure everything out, on my own.

Hi! I’m Rory–a queer, sober, and disabled therapist who knows what it’s like to have to constantly advocate for what I need–to feel different, unseen, or unsure of where you belong.

As a therapist working with young adults and adults experiencing the unique challenges of balancing addiction and chronic/terminal illnesses, I know, both personally and professionally, what it is like to carry intense social anxiety not just from living with a physical disability but also from figuring out what it means to be gay. It took the support of my community to help me step fully into myself and continue to do so more and more each day.

Therapy with me strives to help you move from, “I’ll just figure it out on my own” to “let’s come up with a plan, see who can help, and get this figured out, together.” This requires me, as your therapist, to learn the many strengths you bring already, understand the ways, your uniqueness and all the parts that make up who you are, and understand the impact your relationships have; with yourself and those you love and care about. Therapy with me is a space where your experiences and stories are not only welcomed, but essential. I use humor, empathy, and truly believe working together with you will help you build confidence and gain the necessary skills to navigate day to day life. Outside of therapy, I recharge by taking long walks, working on puzzles, and enjoying strategy or storytelling video games.
